Announcing the FACE Scholarship Program

What Is FACE?

The Figurative Art Convention & Expo features four days of inspiration from top masters in the field of figurative painting and drawing. Its fourth annual edition will be held October 29 – November 1, 2020 in Baltimore, Maryland. This event features onstage demonstrations using live models, a studio where attendees can draw and paint from live models, and many lectures and discussions about issues of concern to all attendees. The Expo Hall is filled with displays mounted by the country’s leading purveyors of artists’ supplies.

The FACE faculty roster is available at FigurativeArtConvention.com, and more faculty members are being added each week. The hosts of FACE are Fine Art Connoisseur editor-in-chief Peter Trippi and publisher B. Eric Rhoads. Rhoads notes, “FACE is something everyone involved in figurative art should consider attending. We are delighted to make this historic event available to scholarship winners, giving them an unparalleled opportunity to meet top artists who will mentor and encourage them in their artistic journeys.”

The Scholarships

Scholarships will be awarded in three categories: Student (4), Educator (1), and Senior (1). Each of this year’s scholarship recipients will receive one free registration to FACE’s regular program (offered October 29 – November 1, 2020) and three-room nights at the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor (exact dates to be determined later by the scholarship recipient and the FACE administrative team).

Two Student Scholars of the same gender will be expected to share a room that contains two double beds. Educator Scholars and Senior Scholars will have their own rooms. This scholarship does not cover registration for the pre-convention workshops (October 28–29), but it does include one Studio Pass (for the two-night studio experience on October 30 and 31.)
