Casey Baugh will be running a 2-day pre-convention course on November 6 & 7, 2018
A master of portraits and a master teacher, Casey Baugh will be presenting his final workshop at the 2019 Figurative Art Convention & Expo before his teaching hiatus.
Casey will deconstruct his work and process in a way that allows students to apply his techniques and theories to their own work. This demo will focus on creating a portrait painting, from the early stages of setup to the finishing strokes. Casey will be working from both a live model and a computer screen. He will also discuss his way of seeing value, drawing, and edge, as well as composition theory and design.
Again, Casey will be taking an extended break from workshops for the foreseeable future — do not miss this special opportunity!
Casey Baugh’s work is described as narrative impressionistic realism. His paintings have been featured on the cover of multiple publications, including the May/June 2018 issue of Fine Art Connoisseur.
Unlike a traditional workshop, where you paint along, this is a large workshop environment where Casey will teach from the stage, with large-screen monitors showing slides and brushstrokes. No painting materials needed as you will not be painting in this course, but you will want to take lots of notes.
Must be a registered attendee of the main FACE event to attend. Attendance is limited.
This workshop is appropriate for artists of ALL mediums.
