Project Description

Carolyn Anderson

Carolyn is originally from the Chicago area, but has lived in northern Montana for many years. She has participated in major national shows, including the Prix de West and C.M. Russell Museum Show, won numerous awards, and been featured in most major art publications. She has also taught workshops for the Frye Museum, National Western Heritage Museum, and Walt Disney Imagineering. Carolyn has developed her own singular style, learning from other artists who inspired her, but experimenting with the boundaries of traditional techniques. “Painting is all about seeing. Visual experience is a combination of what we know and what we expect to see. It is our past and our present, our memories and our sense of space and place.
